Atlas Corrigan is Lily Bloom's childhood friend, first boyfriend, and first love.
In the film adaptation, It Ends With Us, Atlas is portrayed by Brandon Sklenar.
Biography[]
Atlas was a homeless 18-year-old when he and Lily met. The two had an unofficial relationship and Atlas later joined the military. Lily meets Atlas again as a chef in Bib's restaurant: It is known that he is the owner and a talented chef at Bib's Restaurant. A very successful restaurant renowned for its food and positive reviews. He deeply cares about Lily, referring to her as his favorite person throughout the book. At the ending of 'It Ends With Us', Atlas begins a relationship with Lily.
In the first book, not much is said about Atlas' side of the story, only what is told by Lily. However 'It Starts With Us' was released in October 2022 which provided more information about him. He grew up in a cold, abusive home with his mother and stepfather, and no relationship whatsoever with his father. He was kicked out of their house; becoming homeless once his mother found out she was pregnant with her second child; coming very cold and distant to the latter as well.
Personality traits[]
He is shown to have a very caring nature due to the fact that Atlas pays a lot of close attention to Lily, especially in concern for her wellbeing, an example of this is when he takes her to the hospital despite her efforts not to go and insists on a proper check-up. He also looked after her when she has nowhere to go by taking her to his house when it is not safe for her to stay with Ryle Kincaid.
On the other hand, he can be quite volatile and rash at times, this is shown when he makes quite violent threats to Ryle the second time Ryle is at BIB's. The second time, Atlas is also prepared to enter his house to fight him on behalf of Lily, showing his more angry nature. It is to be noted that most of his rash actions come as a result of him wanting to protect Lily as he appears cool-headed.
Atlas is also very loyal, he has always wanted Lily romantically and wants a good life for her, this leads to him building up a positive reputation for himself and an environment he seems fit to take Lily in. He cares for Lily a lot and is prepared to fight whenever he thinks she is in harm's way.
Physical appearance[]
Atlas' physical attributes are described in little detail leaving an un-concise image of him.
However, it is known that Atlas has beautiful blue eyes and brown hair (possibly light brown since Lily said that his hair was dirty and that's why it was darker). When Lily and Atlas meet he is pretty skinny (since he was homeless) but still sinewy and said to have worn the same clothes every day. After they meet again she comments that he is way thicker, bigger, and stronger. Allysa describes him as a very handsome man and compares him to Adonis, a Greek God.
