Hopeless was a potential film based on the book of the same name, written by Colleen Hoover. In 2014, Colleen announced at a book signing someone had purchased the movie rights for Hopeless.[1]
However on July, 2015 Colleen Hoover announced the option period for Hopeless had expired, and the rights had reverted back to her.[2]
